Super Eagles manager role vacant – NFF

Upon the contract expiration of Jose Peseiro at the end of February, the Nigeria Football Federation has declared the position of head manager of the Super Eagles vacant.

NFF President Ibrahim Gusau refuted reports that Austin Eguavoen had been named interim manager.

The NFF stressed that the next Super Eagles coach “must have proven experience at the elite level of football” in an advertisement on its website inviting applications.

The federation now has to select a new coach for the Eagles before their upcoming World Cup qualifiers in June.
