Former Court of Appeal Justice is dead

The Nigerian Judiciary mourns the death of retired Justice Ahmad Olanrewaju Belgore, a former Justice of the Court of Appeal (JCA) at age 70.

His death was announced on Tuesday night by Chairman of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), Ilorin branch, Kwara State, Kamaldeen Gambari, Esq.

Justice Belgore’s legal journey included notable appointments and successes. 

He served as a Judge of the High Court of Justice, Kwara State, and later as a Resident High Court Judge in Offa Judicial Division. 

The late Justice also held positions in the likes of Chairman of the Special Miscellaneous Offences Tribunal in Abuja and served in the Judiciary of the Republic of the Gambia.

Justice Belgore was appointed as a Justice of the Court of Appeal, Nigeria in 2006.
