We are in the process of reconciling members, including Wike – Bode George

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Bode George has said the party is working on reconciliation measures with its members including the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike.

According to him, the PDP hasn’t started firing because reconciliation amongst all aggrieved members is in the process.

Wike and his G5 group chose disregard the candidate of their party, Atiku Abubakar to support other presidential candidates.

This lead to a serious divide in the party with the Minister insisting on a Southern presidential candidate leading to the removal of former National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu.

Speaking on Channels Television, George said the party is working to resolve the rift created from the last general election.

“There is a standing committee. They are going to add more members to do a post-mortem analysis.

“We don’t want to start firing because there are one or two people that are still thinking about the past. The party must move on.

“It is an issue in the party. It should not be resolved in the marketplace,” the PDP chieftain said, insisting “We are going to settle our own matters like a family.” He said.
