The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) has reacted to the recent price hike in viewing packages by MultiChoice.
The FCCPC in a bid to ensure Nigerians get value for their payments, said that recent increase in subscription will reviewed by relevant stakeholders.
The Acting CEO of the commission, Adamu Abdullahi, while speaking exclusively to Channels Television on its Dateline Abuja programme on Thursday, also commented on the Chinese store in Abuja incident, saying that the owner has been summoned.
MultiChoice is a major satellite television operator based in South Africa.
The company had announced a fresh increase in prices of DStv and GOtv packages for subscribers which will be effective from 1 May, 2024.
