Mr. Edison Ehie, The Chief of Staff to Rivers State Governor,Siminalayi Fubara, revealed at a recent rally in Ahoada East that he was approached with money to impeach his principal. Despite the undisclosed identities of those behind the offer, Ehieconstantly refused, stating, “I was not interested.” He further disclosed rejecting a substantial sum of money, leading to his subsequent declaration as wanted.
Mr. Ehie’s declaration comes in the wake of the 2023 police warrant issued for his alleged involvement in the burning of the State House of Assembly complex during a deafening period marked by reports of an attempted impeachment of Governor Fubara in October 2023. The rift between Fubara and former governor Nyesom Wike exacerbated the divide within the House, with Wike openly acknowledging his past errors and expressing readiness to rectify them, emphasizing the fallibility of human judgment
