The Nigerian government has announced that individuals convicted of certificate forgery, drug offenses, involvement in cult activities, and related crimes will not be beneficiaries of the government’s student loan scheme.
This was disclosed by The Nigeria education Loan Fund (NELFUND) via its X handle.
According to NELFUND, applicants with such history or antecedents will be outrightly denied.
“Others whose application would be rejected include anyone ‘proven to have defaulted in respect of any previous loan granted, by any licensed financial institution and anyone, found guilty of submitting fake/fraudulent documents and dismissed for exam malpractices by any school authority.” NELFUND added.
However, as the portal is open, applications from students attending federal institutions nationwide are welcome.
