The Governor of Kano state, Abba Kabir Yusuf and other top government officials have taken over the Emir’s Palace.
This follows the issuance of the arrest of deposed Emir Aminu Ado Bayero by the Governor.
This was revealed by the spokesperson to the Governor, Sunusi Bature, stating that the Governor as the Chief Security Officer of the State has ordered the arrest of the deposed Emir, citing violations and public disobedience.
In a video circulated online, the State Deputy Governor, Aminu Abdussalam was seen fuming.
“We are here, we are not going anywhere, because we understand that the NSA under the orders of Ganduje has brought back the deposed Emir with heavy security trying to bring him into the palace; we will not allow that to happen.
“The State Assembly deliberated for three days on the Emirate Council Law and Repealed it, and all the 40 members of the Legislative Chamber were there, so I don’t understand what the NSA and Ganduje want,” he alleged.
Meanwhile, sources have reported that the deposed Emir Aminu Ado Bayero is back to Kano, signaling a move to reinstate him as Ruler.
