Sahara: Rocky’s Sylvester Stallone was fired from a movie role in 1984

Popular American actor, Sylvester Stallone has once been fired from a movie role in the blockbuster sequel, Beverly Hills Cop.

The Rambo star was originally considered for the part of Foley but tried to rewrite the role he would play.

The producers did not subscribe to the idea, resulting to the hiring of Eddie Murphy, who played the role showing of his ability to play to humor.

However, Hollywood agent, Ron Meyer had revealed that he wanted the movie for Stallone because it had humor.

Eventually, Beverly Hills Cop became a blockbuster hit that continued with two immediate sequels, with a fourth one coming in 2024.

This is indeed an evidence of Stallone’s ego, as Stallone is a well renowned producer and an Award winning actor, including a place in the Hollywood Hall of Fame.

Stallone is well known for his physically challenging roles and his willingness and capacity to do the majority of his own stunts.
