In a move to remedy the negative effects of skilled workers relocating abroad, Nigeria’s Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Professor Ali Pate, has assured imminent salary adjustments to the nations healthcare workforce.
This was disclosed on Channels Television’s May 29 Special program, commemorating President Bola Tinubu’s first anniversary.
According to Pate, President Tinubu’s administration is committed in curbing the brain drain in the health sector, highlighting the number of healthcare professionals returning to Nigeria.
While identifying the challenges in the health sector, he addressed the global issue of healthcare workforce shortages, emphasizing that Nigeria is prioritizing the development of professional training programs to bolster domestic healthcare services.
