Residents, Citizens condemn Sokoto state government for naming road after ‘Seyi Tinubu’

The government of Sokoto state has been publicly criticized for naming a road after the son the President, Seyi Tinubu.

The road was previously designated as ‘Pepsi Road’, but has now been ‘Seyi Ahmed Bola Tinubu Road’.

Although the road was supposed to be commissioned on Jun 3 by Katsina state governor, it’s been postponed till further notice.

A photo of the renamed road circulated on Saturday, with social media users condemning the decision by the government.

Many residents opined, insisting that the governor had no basis for the decision since Seyi Tinubu has not played any worthy role in commemoration in Sokoto or Nigeria at large.
