Amongst the highest earning footballers in the world is French forward, Kylian Mbappe who recently captained France at the Euro 2024 and would continue to earn big following his summer move to Spanish giants, Real Madrid.
Evidently, Mbappe spends his money on luxury as he owns an impressive car collection and also indulges in charitable activities.
However, it seems like the France International wants to switch a part of his wealth to investing in a professional football club.
Reports indicates that Mbappe and his business associates have been linked with a possible takeover at football club, SM Caen, who have played in the French Ligue 1 second division since their relegation from the top flight in the 2018-19 season with newspaper, Ouest-France confirming the deal.
Meanwhile, in March the current co owner of SM Caen, Pierre-Antoine Capton announced that American investment fund Oaktree was planning to withdraw its investment in the club.
As far back as 2013 Mbappe was linked to the club when they tried to sign him.
