The National Working Committee (NWC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has formally requested Senate President Senator Godswill Akpabio to facilitate the resignation of Senator Ali Ndume of Borno South from the party and join any other opposition party.
This was revealed in a letter signed by APC National Chairman Alhaji Umar Ganduje and National Secretary Senator Surajudeen Basiru.
In the letter the APC management announced the removal of Senator Ali Ndume from his position as Chief Whip of the 10th Senate, citing Ndume’s criticisms of President Bola Tinubu, stating that his remarks were not supportive of the Federal Government’s agenda, thereby announcing his replacement, Senator Mohammed Tahir Monguno of Borno North.
During a session presided over by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, all APC Senators supported the APC NWC request.
