In a call for visual artists across Nigeria, prominent and pivotal Nigerian-British Artist, Chinwe Russell has launched the Chinwe Russell Art Prize, which is an online initiative focused on the exceptional talent of Nigerian visual artists on a global platform.
Saharandaily reports that the art competition aims to spotlight the diversity and creativity prevalent in the vibrant Nigerian visual art sector while fostering increased local and international recognition, with participants earning different prizes.
The Chinwe Russel Art Prize is open to all Nigerian visual artists working in various media, including, specialists in Painting, Sculpture, Textile, Found Object Art, Illustration, Recycled material art, Ceramics and pottery and more related works.
The art competition will also collaborate with art and culture departments of Nigerian universities as partners to encourage students who are passionate about art and engage with the arts and cultural sector to stimulate creative economic growth.
Additionally, the art submissions are absolutely free, with only a participation fee required upon selection.

Chinwe Russell is a British artist of Nigerian descent, known for her global artistic works and style. She has been supporting over 2,000 artists annually.
Her work has been showcased in prestigious venues worldwide, including the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition, the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris, and the Shanghai International Art Fair.
