Nigeria Air Force Opens Applications for Direct Short Service Commission

The Nigeria Air Force (NAF) has announced the commencement of applications for its Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) Course 33/2024. 

The announcement, made public through an official memo released today, invites qualified Nigerians to apply for commissioned positions in various disciplines.

According to the memo, the DSSC is designed to enlist graduates and professionals from diverse fields into the Air Force as officers, following a short training period. 

The DSSC program provides an opportunity for Nigerians with relevant qualifications to serve in specialized roles within the NAF, such as engineering, medicine, law, ICT, logistics, and administration.

To be eligible for consideration, applicants must:

• Be Nigerian citizens by birth.

• Be between the ages of 22 and 30 

years (for medical consultants, the age limit is 35 years).

• Have a minimum of second class lower division for degree holders and lower credit for HND holders.

• Hold relevant professional qualifications or licenses where applicable.

• Be physically and mentally fit, with proof of fitness from a recognized government hospital.
