Rt. Hon. Deacon Chike Okafor, the Member representing Okigwe South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has spearheaded the distribution of Federal Government fertilizer palliatives to farmers across Obowo, Ihitte-Uboma, and Ehime-Mbano Local Government Areas.
This initiative aims to enhance agricultural productivity and underscores Okafor’s dedication to food security and the economic development of his constituency.
The distribution, overseen by the Executive Chairmen of the respective LGAs, was conducted to ensure transparency and equitable access for genuine farmers.
Hon. Barr. Obioma Ehirim, Executive Chairman of Obowo LGA, praised Okafor’s commitment to the region, stating that his efforts are a testament to his dedication to improving local livelihoods and boosting agricultural output.
Similar commendations were expressed by the Chairmen of Ehime-Mbano and Ihitte-Uboma LGAs, who acknowledged the impact of these federal resources in preparing farmers for the upcoming season, which is expected to result in increased yields.
Speaking through his legislative aide, Hon. Charles Uwadoka, Rt. Hon. Okafor expressed satisfaction with the smooth distribution process and reaffirmed his ongoing commitment to empowering farmers and enhancing agricultural production across Okigwe South.
