President-Elect, Donald Trump appoints Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy to lead New Department

U.S President-elect, Donald Trump has announced the formation of a new Department of Government Efficiency, to be headed by tech mogul Elon Musk and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy.

In his announcement, Trump praised Musk and Ramaswamy as “wonderful Americans” whose expertise and determination will play an essential role in reshaping government operations.

“They bring vision and drive.

“Together, they’ll eliminate waste and unlock the true potential of a streamlined, efficient government.” He said.

The new department’s focus will be on dismantling red tape, reducing wasteful expenditures, and restructuring federal processes to improve functionality and cost-effectiveness.

9News Nigeria reports that Musk and Ramaswamy will examine federal agencies for inefficiencies, with an eye on creating a more responsive and sustainable structure.

Elon Musk, known for his work in space exploration, electric vehicles, and artificial intelligence, commented on the appointment, saying that the initiative would “send shockwaves through the system.”

He emphasized the need for change, highlighting his intention to address what he referred to as “widespread government waste.”

Ramaswamy, a biotech entrepreneur and author, is expected to bring his innovative approach to problem-solving and strategic restructuring.

The appointment has already sparked significant interest from both supporters and critics, with some viewing it as a bold move to combat government waste, while others express caution over the proposed cuts to federal programs and agencies.

Whether Musk and Ramaswamy can turn the president-elect’s vision into reality remains to be seen, but they are undoubtedly setting the stage for what could be one of the most ambitious government reform initiatives in recent history.
