Toyota to Unveil $10 Billion Smart City

Renowned Motor brand, Toyota is gearing up to revolutionize urban living with the unveiling of Woven City, a $10 billion smart city situated at the base of Mount Fuji in Japan.

Scheduled to welcome its first 100 residents in fall 2025, this ambitious project will serve as a futuristic hub for testing cutting-edge technologies, including robotics, self-driving vehicles, and AI-powered smart homes.

Spanning 175 acres, Woven City will initially house Toyota employees and their families as part of the inaugural community.

The city, designed by world-renowned architect Bjarke Ingels, is envisioned to accommodate up to 2,000 residents, referred to as “weavers.”

The city’s innovative infrastructure will feature advanced technologies, such as pet robots designed to assist the elderly and personal drones meant for joggers.

Saharandaily reports that Woven City will integrate sustainable living practices with groundbreaking advancements, positioning itself as a prototype for future smart cities globally.
