The Senator representing Sokoto South, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has slammed President Tinubu, warning him to quit disassociating himself from Muhammadu Buhari’s administrative failure, stressing that Tinubu inherited his own failure.
The immediate past governor of Sokoto State said this yesterday at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stakeholders’ meeting.
According to him, the APC was only interested in grabbing power, adding that Tinubu was involved in politics just to rule.
“The same Tinubu’s government that has failed to secure Nigerians in the past one year is now lamenting and disassociating itself from Buhari’s administrative failure.
“There’s no reason for President Tinubu to allow his aides or ministers to be castigating and attacking the APC government under Buhari because he has tremendously benefited from it.
“President Tinubu should face the governing of Nigeria with serious minded attention and not allow certain myopic tendencies in his government to destroy his good plans, if at all.
“In reality, Nigerians want to be assured of the security of their lives and property anywhere they are in the country. He should tell his cabinet members to work more on national cohesion and development if at all he is ready, instead of blaming the past government of Buhari.” He said.
He further urged the PDP supporters to unite and not to be discouraged about the happenings in the country, commending the PDP leadership in Sokoto State for their sacrifice and unity and development of the party at that level.
“You have been in the vanguard of change and political unity. This will be your guiding principles of peace and unity with discipline and respect to everybody in the party.” He said.
The stakeholders meeting was conducted in attendance all the party’s leadership and elders from the various local governments in the state.
