President Bola Tinubu has directed the Federal Capital Territory Administration(FCTA) to distribute additional relief measures to residents in order to alleviate the impact of rising living costs following the removal of fuel subsidy.
The Minister of State for the FCT, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, disclosed this during a meeting with stakeholders on March 6.
She emphasized the need for transparent distribution committees, highlighting existing concerns about the recent warehouse attack in Gwagwa.
However, the FCT chairman of traditional rulers, Alhaji Adamu Baba Yunusa, promised to ensure cooperation among the committee members and representatives from area councils, emergency management, traditional rulers, security forces, and other groups.
