The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has announced plans to conduct an e-auction of vehicles subject to final forfeiture orders.
The auction will be carried out in line with the EFCC (Establishment) Act, 2004, the Public Procurement Act, 2007, and the Proceeds of Crime (Recovery and Management) Act, 2022.
According to a statement by the commission on January 20, 2025, the vehicles up for auction have been legally forfeited following court orders, and the sale will be managed by auctioneers appointed by the EFCC.
This process signals the commission’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and adherence to legal frameworks in managing recovered assets.
The general public is encouraged to participate in the e-auction process as details will be provided by the EFCC in due course.
For more information, interested parties are advised to monitor EFCC’s official platforms for updates and guidelines regarding the e-auction.
